VA Hospital, Menlo Park General Contractor: Herrera Engineering Corp.
TEC removed 4 diesel underground storage tanks and replaced them with 4 aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) and accessory piping and equipment at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Menlo Park. The ASTs supply the hospital's emergency generators. All work was completed under the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) guidelines.

TEC installed 2 diesel underground storage tanks to fuel 3 new emergency generators for the Lake Merced Pump Station. TEC replaced the pumps, generators, and fuel system for the facility, which pumps water from Lake Merced to the vicinity of Sutro Tower for fire protection (to supply fire hydrants).

Client: San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD) General Contractor: TEC
TEC provided ground-up construction for the SMUHSD school bus yard. The scope of work included excavating and installing all infrastructure for the new 3,000-gal diesel aboveground storage tank system and bus wash facility (including product piping, water lines, drainage, etc.) according to Division of the State Architect (DSA-approved) design specifications. Additionally, TEC built a structural steel canopy and performed minor civil improvements including new curbs, a parking lot and fence.

TEC installed a new 400-gal day tank which services 5 emergency generators that provide backup power for the hospital. All work was completed in accordance with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) guidelines. TEC was awarded a contract of $1.6 million of the $8 million allocated to rebuild the facility with all necessary upgrades.

Fueling facility closure at their maintenance hangar located at the San Francisco International Airport. Project required complex security and safety measures, as tank was located in close proximity to an operational runway.

Project construction involved value engineering and construction management. Site has approximate throughput of one million gallons per month.
