The Code of Federal Requirements Title 40 Part 112 requires that facilities storing more than 1,320 gallons of oil, including gasoline and diesel fuel, must have an SPCC plan to manage oil spills and emergency response actions. TEC makes generates SPCC plans that are specific to each facility, provides training to employees, and performs the required tank tests and periodic inspections to keep the facility in compliance with this regulation.

The California Code of Regulations (Title 19, CCR, Division 2) and California Health and Safety Code Chapter 6.95 require that facilities using or storing hazardous materials have an operating and emergency response plan onsite to manage employees and materials in a responsible manner. TEC generates customized plans that are specific to each facility, provides training to employees, and performs monthly hazardous material inspections. TEC’s hazardous materials compliance services extend to regular facility operations, including permitting, storage planning, and all required documentation. Supplemental closure documentation is also required when permitted facilities close their place of business or move to other locations. Engineers and geologists provide sampling and characterization for the profiling, transport, disposal, and treatment of liquid and solid waste.

Federal and State law require the installation of automatic tank gauges and leak detectors. Electronic tank monitoring for leaks gives tank owners the security of automatic shut down in order to prevent costly soil and groundwater remediation. TEC can install, maintain, and test your monitoring equipment. Our technicians are certified by the manufacturers of most common electronic monitors (such as Veeder Root and Incon).
